Michel Gondry re-teams with Being John Malkovich screenwriter Charlie Kaufman in a cinematic head-trip for a post-modern century that also engages the heart.

When Joel Barish (a disarmingly affecting Jim Carrey) learns that his ex, Clementine (the equally impressive Kate Winslet) has undergone a procedure to erase her memories of their relationship, he submits to the same form of willed amnesia.

Scientific manipulation and the deeper recesses of Joel's wounded humanity battle it out in his addled sub-conscious as he learns that forgetting comes at its own price.

Tom Wilkinson, Mark Ruffalo, Kirsten Dunst and Elijah Wood, all on the same psychic wavelength as their director, round out a dream cast.

"Uniquely funny, unpredictably tender and unapologetically twisted. It's a gift to find a ballsy movie that thinks it can do anything and damn near does" - Rolling Stone
