The Ghost (Lo spettro)
Freda was a veteran craftsman who kicked off the Italian gothic horror cycle with I Vampiri in 1956 and paved the way for better-known genre specialists Mario Bava and Dario Argento.

This 1963 horror thriller gave British-born 'scream queen' Barbara Steele (Black Sunday, Shivers) a chance to extend her range as a ruinous femme fatale implicated in the murder of her husband.

Dripping blood, lightning storms and midnight crypt visits heighten the atmospherics in this moody little fright-fest. Screens in an English language print.
