A year after
Tarzan the Ape Man, Harry Holt (Paul Cavanagh) and his sidekick return to Africa in search of ivory.
While Holt hopes to lure Jane (Maureen O'Sullivan) away with a selection of evening gowns, shoes, makeup, and other trappings of civilised life, she and the scantily clad Tarzan (Johnny Weissmuller) swing through the trees, playing erotically charged games.
Jane narrates their activities with references to English high society rituals - mocking her 'civilised' past (and its men), and championing her life with Tarzan in their jungle paradise.
