Days of Being Wild
Set in the steamy Hong Kong summer of 1960, Leslie Cheung plays self-obsessed and sexy Yuddi, a pampered and decadent young man juggling the romantic attentions of two women: one reserved and persistent (Maggie Cheung), the other a boisterous go-go dancer (Carina Lau).

The languorous visual style and playful editing marked the beginning of Wong's key collaboration with cinematographer Christopher Doyle and designer/editor William Chang. In The Mood For Love and 2046 are both elusively connected to this, Wong Kar-wai's second film, widely regarded as his masterpiece.

Imported 35mm print.
