Happy Together
Leslie Cheung and Tony Leung Chiu-wai are superb as the on-again, off-again lovers in this mesmerizing film that follows the volatile romance between two gay Chinese expatriates living in Buenos Aires.

Loosely based on a novel by Manuel Puig, Wong Kar-wai's elliptical exploration of mad love, loneliness and dislocation won him Best Director at the Cannes Film Festival in 1997.

Christopher Doyle's stylish black and white imagery explodes into lush, saturated colour and weaves with music by Astor Piazzolla and Frank Zappa to emulate the rhythms of Argentina.
