In the Mood for Love is a dreamlike evocation of the romance between handsome Mr Chow (Tony Leung in his Cannes winning performance) and timeless beauty Mrs Chan (Maggie Cheung).
Wong and production designer William Chang create a cocoon-like world where every luscious costume and beautifully styled location combine with Michael Galasso's score to express the intensity of emotion in perfect counterpoint to Leung and Cheung's superbly restrained performances.
