Some days it just doesn't pay to clean up your life and grow up.
Carl (Sam Neill) is a cook in a seedy Brunswick nightclub, with a shiftless approach to life and a dominating mother.
He suddenly finds himself embroiled in murder and mayhem when he simultaneously becomes involved with the death of Mustafa, the drug-dealing Turkish kitchen-hand, and falls in love with the barmaid, Sophie, played by Zoe Carides with zesty charm.
