Donkeys (Burros)
Set in the 1940s,
Donkeys is the story of Lautaro, a ten-year-old boy who lives in the so-called 'Tierra Caliente' in southern Mexico.
After his father is killed, Lautaro is sent to live with an aunt in a far away town. After deciding to run away, he encounters many people, living and dead, who help him on his journey back to his former home.
Awarded best film at Morelia Film Festival 2010 and Guadalajara Film Festival 2011.
