Set in Brazil in the late 1970s, Prime Time Soap follows Amanda, a high-end prostitute, and her mysterious maid, Dora. The pair are on the run after murdering a corrupt police official in the pockets of the authoritarian regime.
They decide to head to Rio, where Dora must confront her secret past and find her teenage son, whilst Amanda dreams of starring on the prime-time soap 'Dancin' Days'.
Told in the kitsch, comedic style of the Brazilian telenovela, Prime Time Soap offers a new generation's take on their country's brutal past.
