Shadow Life is an exhibition of moving image works by six internationally renowned contemporary Indigenous Australian artists (and one non-Indigenous collaborator).
Presented as a looped screening with a contextual talk by curator Djon Mundine OAM, Shadow Life explores the notion of the shadow as a representation of our soul that can never leave or exist independent of the body.
The exhibition will also showcase the photo-based practices of key Aboriginal artists including Vernon Ah Kee, Bindi Cole, Destiny Deacon, Fiona Foley, Ivan Sen and Christian Thompson.
The exhibition will be screened on a loop in Studio 1 from 10am to 6pm, pausing for the talk with Djon Mundine OAM from 3pm to 4pm.
