This groundbreaking drama takes us on a journey into the troubled mind of a young woman struggling with mental illness.
Utilising experimental cinematic techniques, director Paul Agusta explores the experience of bipolar disorder in a completely fresh way. The lead role is perfectly played by Kartika Jahja, who herself suffers the disorder.
As Kartika discusses her illness, the corresponding imagery is varyingly dark, impressionistic and exhilarating, offering a unique insight into emotions unbound. Stop-motion animation and surreal imagery step in where our protaganist's words fail and dizzyingly convey the hellish fringes of the mind.
