Karasevdah is the first film by young Bosnian/Melbourne director, Saidin Salkic.
It is a lyrical record of his return to Srebrenica twelve years after the massacre that ultimately led to his arrival in Australia.
The film is not a narrative documentary about the brutalities of war but rather a journey into and through memory to give a personal view of what is left behind by war.
A deep, poetic meditation on the nature of suffering and the possibilities for reconciliation.
