In this classic children's anime from master Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away), two young girls, Satsuki and Mei, move to the country with their father while their sick mother remains in hospital.

To the girls' delighted surprise, they find that they share their new home with some rather unusual creatures, including a giant furry being called Totoro that only they can see. When the girls decide to visit their mother, Totoro becomes a devoted guide and ally.

"An absolute delight, rather like an enchanted guidebook to a child's view of the world" - The Age

My Neighbour Totoro has many fans out there including Nadia, Robyn and Adam who will each receive a $25 gift voucher from the ACMI Store for requesting the film. If you have a favourite film you'd like to see on the ACMI big screen, send us your pick now!
