To coincide with Puppets at Fed Square, ACMI presents a special animation workshop for the school holidays.

Marionette puppets can be traced back to ancient times and were often made from clay. Today, animators still use clay to create characters that come to life on the big screen.

In this workshop, children become the master storyteller by creating their own clay puppet to keep and animating their puppet's story with stop motion animation and modern digital techniques.

Recommended for children aged 5 to 13
