Pixar's tenth animated feature film is a triumph of modern animation.

When 78-year-old widower Carl Fredricksen (Ed Asner) decides to fulfil a long-held dream to travel to South America, he quite literally takes off!

Fredricksen isn't alone for very long, however. Russell - an eager young Wilderness Explorer scout, seventy years his junior - inadvertently tags along for what very quickly becomes the most thrilling ride of their lives.

An excellent voice cast also features Christopher Plummer, who hams it up as a daring explorer-cum-supervillain with shades of Howard Hughes.

Screens as part of a retrospective of ten hand-picked Kids' Flicks celebrating ACMI's 10th birthday.
