Where the Wild Things Are

Based on the 1963 picture book by Maurice Sendak, this film adaptation follows the adventures of a disobedient young boy named Max after he is sent to his room without dinner.

Director Spike Jonze was hand picked by the author to translate his book of only nine sentences into this extraordinary feature film, which was shot on location throughout Victoria.

Max Records plays Max, Catherine Keener his mother and the 'wild things' are voiced by James Gandolfini, Forest Whitaker and Chris Cooper (amongst others) with a soundtrack written and produced by Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
