Kids in the Studio: Citizen Clay
Get your hands dirty in this exciting one-day workshop where you will mould, shoot, edit and premiere your very own claymation spectacular.
From script writing to sound design, participants will work through this unique filmmaking process step by step.
Exemplified in hit films like Harvie Krumpet (2003) and Chicken Run (2000), claymation is a fun and popular animation technique. Using specially designed sets and studio lighting, numerous photographs of clay characters are stitched together to form a short story. The film then comes to life as the frames are sped up and edited and sound effects are added.
Workshop participants will learn the tricks and techniques of a professional animator before taking away their finished products.
This one day workshop runs from 10am - 4pm and is available on 2 dates. Recommended for kids aged 10 to 14. For more information please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
