Kids in the Studio: Wacky Contraptions
These school holidays, families are invited to drop in and create weird and wonderful mechanical toys, wacky gadgets or kooky contraptions.
Inspired by the kinetic creations of Ian Burns, come down and create your own whirligig paraphernalia and wacky contraptions using everyday objects. Use your artistic flair to create a moving model with balloon propulsion, elastic band power, paper cams and cranks and mouse traps.
This free drop-in activity will run over two weeks during the school holidays and has something for all ages and levels of expertise.
Drop in anytime between 11am and 3pm. Recommended for kids aged 4 to 12.
