Shim's Family
Shim's Family
The Shims are weirdos. And misunderstood to say the least. Neverteless, when the Shims are faced with obstacles they manage to overcome them... in their own very weird way. This black comedy with an all star cast gives you a peek into the lives of a quirky Korean family.

Director Jeong Yoon-cheol's first feature Marathon (2004) was very successful both critically and commercially, and his latest feature A Man Who Was Superman (2007) shows that he is very interested in odd characters and their lives. Jeong's films are often warmly infused with a sense of very ordinary hope, and failure. Jeong is an AFTRS graduate, and we are delighted to present this classic comedic piece in the Australia Korea Year of Friendship 2011.
