War of the Arrows (Choejongbyeonggi hwal)
War of the Arrows (Choejongbyeonggi hwal)
Set during the second Manchu Invasion of Korea, Nam-yi, a young archer, is hunting deer in the mountains when his village is demolished by invading forces. His sister, Ja-in, and her fiancé, Seo-goon, are taken hostage by the fearless Manchurian warrior Jushinta, leaving Nam-yi to avenge his village and family in a war of arrows.

War of the Arrows became the highest grossing South Korean film of 2011, with a plethora of prizes awarded to great performances by Park Hae-Il (The Host) and Ryoo Seung-ryong (All About My Wife) at the prestigious Daejong Film Awards and Blue Dragon Film Awards in 2011.

The film is a non-stop action-packed epic with incredibly choreographed chase scenes that will leave you at the edge of your seat.
