Short Flicks 2007 is a collection of nine short films created by La Trobe University students through the Student Theatre and Film office.
This year the collection offers a broad range of stories from kung fu fighting to reality television, with narrative driven plotlines balanced equally with abstract visual forms.
Students from La Trobe University have been making films as part of this programme since 1996. Run by the Student Union, now called The Guild, students are offered assistance, equipment and funding to create their own film projects that are separate from their course work. In this time over 100 films have received support.
