This extraordinary documentary is a raw, non-judgmental and compassionate record of the maras, a group of youths similar to the gangs of Los Angeles who have spread terror throughout El Salvador.
For a year Christian Poveda's camera focuses on daily life in a cell of one of these gigantic maras, composed of fifty or so teenagers and young adults aged 16-18, whose only hope is to have a bit of fun before meeting an early death. The screening will be followed by a Q&A session.
