Milagros, an eccentric taxi driver, spots her old school friend Rosario, reigniting a friendship which profoundly alters each of their lives.
The two end up working as street cleaners on the night shift, a job Rosario finds depressing but the more positive Milagros finds constant amusement in. The delicate and truthful performances of the lead actresses lend a lightness and warm humour to the dramatic events that unfold before them.
