ACMI and Melbourne Filmoteca present the Melbourne Latin American Film Festival, a showcase of contemporary Latin American cinema. This year's festival includes new films and premieres from Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Cuba and Colombia, and features live performances of Santero ritual music and dance by Ile Ashe, one of Australia's premier Afro-Cuban dancers and percussionists.
The 2005 Melbourne Latin American Film Festival is presented by Melbourne Filmoteca, Latin American, Spanish + Portuguese Film Group, with assistance from the City of Melbourne and the Australian Centre for the Moving Image.
