Commissioned to create a breathtaking new work for the Light in Winter program, Lozano-Hemmer is internationally acclaimed for his large-scale interactive installations in public spaces, which often deploy new technologies and custom-made interfaces.
Using robotics, projections, sound, internet and cell-phone links, sensors and other devices, his installations aim to provide "temporary anti-monuments for alien agency".
The world premiere of Lozano-Hemmer's major new work will be presented at Federation Square from Friday 4 June to Sunday 4 July.
