Liquid Architecture is a national sound art festival that celebrates and promotes the diversity of Australian sonic talent. Now in its fourth year, Liquid Architecture includes concerts, workshops, installations and forums focusing on contemporary practices in sound art. Brought to you by the seminal sound art collective ((tRansMIT)), Liquid Architecture 4 promises to challenge and delight both the artist and punter alike.
Exploring the interdisciplinarity of Sound Art practices which touch moving image, contemporary/experimental music, contemporary art and new media cultures, Liquid Architecture is creating a distinct identity within the realms of sound, new media and contemporary art.
Liquid Architecture features over 30 local, interstate and international sound artists and musicians. The festival this year includes three concert presentations, two days of forums and workshops and two exhibitions at inner city galleries. Included in Liquid Architecture will be special performances and presentations from legendary French artist Bernard Parmegiani as well as Scot Arford and Randy HY Yau from the United States.
