Boxcutters do Nineties Nostalgia
In the late 80s and early 90s, a new kind of TV drama captured the imagination of high school students.

Shows like Press Gang and Degrassi Junior High reflected the issues that young people faced in a way that wasn't condescending or preachy. They are remembered with fondness and discussed amongst peers with a reverence, passion and joy that is rarely so widely shared.

In our Nineties Nostalgia special, Josh Kinal and John Richards from the Boxcutters podcast will investigate just what made these shows so unique and enduringly popular.

They'll be asking questions like: How many people working in publishing and journalism were influenced by Lynda Day? And why is it impossible to see a hipster wearing a hat and not think of Joey Jeremiah?

Note: This event may also include references to Heart Break High and Grange Hill circa Jackie and Zammo.
