French dynamo François Ozon (ACMI Focus On 2007) returns to his native language with a handsomely crafted take on trust, intimacy and the modern family - with a surprising magic realist twist.

Ozon describes Ricky as "very strange, it's a mix between Cronenberg and - I don't know what - um... the Dardenne brothers!"

With magnificent performances from Alexandra Lamy, Sergi López and enchanting child star Mélusine Mayance, Ozon again proves to be an adroit director, who consistently offers audiences eclectic and wondrous cinematic experiences.
