Actor/Director Bouli Lanners returns with a stunning big screen fairytale that boasts some very modern twists!

Set over the course of a long languid summer, teenage brothers Zak and Seth have been left to fend for themselves in a small mountain town.

Penniless and bored, they befriend local boy Dany and together they smoke weed, goof off, ride the river and conjure plans to combat their fraught financial situation. The resulting action comes complete with a big bad (drug-dealing) wolf, piano-playing fairy godmother, and one of the most entertaining food fights you'll see all year.

Drawing obvious parallels to Stand By Me, Lanners' take on the American coming of age teen flick isn't all sentimentality and naff jokes. The characters (drawn beautifully by his talented teen actors) are astutely crafted, which makes their efforts to negotiate the adult world and each other all the more heartrending.

"A French Stand By Me. Not only are these boys funny, the backdrop to their adventures looks amazing" - The Herald Sun

"A joyous heartwarmer with an endearing Mark Twain meets Ken Loach vibe" - Screen International
