Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work
Ricki Stern and Annie Sundberg's (The Devil Came on Horseback) compelling new documentary chronicles a year in the life of irreverent comedy legend Joan Rivers, as she single-handedly tackles the London theatre scene, hecklers in one-horse towns and reality TV to claw her way back to the top and keep her dreams alive.

A smash hit at the Sundance and Tribeca Film Festivals, this is documentary filmmaking at its peak.

At no point do the filmmakers or subject hide behind the façade of celebrity; instead, Rivers' candid nature reveals what we might have suspected all along - that she is not only damn funny and utterly fearless but quite possibly the hardest-working lady in showbiz.

"Honest, self deprecating, bitingly funny and a complete revelation...One of the most truthful documentaries about show business I've seen. Also maybe the funniest" Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun Times
