In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to write, direct, act in and edit a short film inspired by the gothic imagination of Tim Burton.
Perfect for budding filmmakers and Burton fans, you'll draw inspiration from Burton's iconic cinema (think
Beetlejuice,
Edward Scissorhands,
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and
Alice in Wonderland) to create your own live-action short film.
Working in small groups under the guidance of experienced staff, you'll pitch your ideas, script, storyboard, act, direct and operate a camera, film in ACMI and on location around Federation Square. Then step into our post-production studio to cut together your film and add a spooky Danny Elfman-style soundtrack.
On Friday, invite two special guests for your red carpet premiere from 3pm.
Workshop is suitable for kids aged 10 to 14.
