The student collection features some of the best and most representative work produced by primary, secondary, and tertiary students. The collection contains a range of work - from the nascent moving image experiments of a 5 year old, to the accomplished art of graduating film and multimedia students.
By documenting the stages of development a creative individual undergoes as they perfect the form of their art practice, the collection attempts to trace the wider development of contemporary screen based art practice. By actively collecting innovative exemplary student works it is anticipated the memory grid will become a repository for the early experiments of the internationally regarded practitioners of the future.
