Tropicália & Rogério DuarteThis celebration of the reverberant Brazilian cultural movement Tropicalia and of one of its most important protagonists Rogério Duarte features a program of film screenings and live music.
From 2pm, local bands and artists including Sophie Brous, Bum Creek, The French, Pikelet, Francis Plagne and Qua will reinterpret the music of Os Mutantes and at 3pm a specially commissioned film on Duarte will be shown.
This will be followed by free screenings of the documentary Brasil, Brasil - Tropicália Revolution (60 mins, Unclassified 18+) at 4.15pm and the feature Black God, White Devil (120 mins, Unclassified 18+) at 5.40pm.
