Brother and Sister (Dos hermanos)

Often referred to as Argentina's answer to Woody Allen, Daniel Burman presents a humorous study of the intricate and fraught relationship between a brother and sister in their sixties.
The siblings use their inheritance to buy a dilapidated mansion in Uruguay. Marcus, a shy bachelor, finds himself performing in the local amateur production of the Sophocles'
Oedipus Rex. His flamboyant, overbearing and slightly psychotic sister steals some party invitations, usurping the intended guest.
Burman builds up a beautifully paced and witty tale that takes the viewer through the comical and heartbreaking highs and lows of the siblings' intense relationship.
