Every Song is About Me (Todas las canciones hablan de mí)

Sometimes it feels as though every song was written about our own lives. Based upon this apparently clichéd premise,
Every Song is About Me is a captivating portrait of a young man and the girl he likes, both in search of a happiness they know is impossible to attain.
Jonás Trueba's first feature film captures the confusion of a generation whose lives are seemingly defined by music and books, by the need to find a path through uncertainty, and by the compulsion to find love when love is reduced to a cliché in another indie-pop song.
Trueba's protagonists have not suffered social exclusion, scarcity or abuse; rather they are just ordinary people trying to make sense of the lives they have been given.
