The Vampire (El vampiro)

Inspired by Hollywood's epic monster movies from the 1940s and '50s and rated as one of the top 40 films in Mexican cinema history, this iconic 1957 cult film is a groundbreaking classic that first introduced the vampire genre to Mexico.
It tells the tale of Marta (Ariadna Welter), who embarks on a journey to visit her aunts. Upon arriving at their house, she discovers that her Aunt Teresa has recently passed away after hallucinating about vampires, while Aunt Eloisa (Carmen Montejo) is under the influence of the mysterious Mr. Duval (Germán Robles), whose real identity is revealed to be Count Karol de Lavud, a vampire.
