Rock Hudson: Dark and Handsome Stranger

Miguel and Mariela are a happily married couple in a small Peruvian fishing village. While Miguel genuinely adores his devoted wife, he also carries on a clandestine affair with gay drifter Santiago. Miguel insists on secrecy, but Santiago yearns to celebrate his love openly, provoking a dark twist in this turbulent, otherwordly tale.

Director Roberto Moreira's engaging debut focuses on three tenants in a Brazilian apartment building who are brought together by their trials in love and relationships. Their stories ebb and flow together in this bittersweet drama, illustrating the tricky, tumultuous nature of love.

Eloïse is an art student, out, proud and unapologetic. Àsia, an architecture student, is inexplicably drawn to Eloïse, becoming a model for her art project. Despite many obstacles, the two young women fall in love but Àsia soon faces a tough choice between the expectations of her family and following her heart.
