raaaaagggggeeeee
John Safran
Ah rage. Not the violent, explosive anger kind, the all night music video tv program kind.
Everyone has a different rage watching style. Some people watch for 6 hours straight betting that the next film clip (or the next-next or the next-next-next) would be an awesome one. Others get up at 6am to get their rage fix while eating breakfast. Other times it's the soothing friend of the insomniac.
Also rage of choice - Friday new releases or Saturday guest program? Are you the appreciator or the critic? The one who complains about seeing Venus in Furs by the Velvet Underground again? Or are you cheering because someone finally programmed The Waitresses film clip? Saturday nights get more controversial when that band you hate programs the best rage line-up of clips ever complete with clever commentary while that band you love are the most inarticulate boring hosts ever.
Ah yes rage watching style and attitude is a personal thing for many an Australian music fan.
Including the infamous John Safran who during his John Safran's Music Jamboree series successfully demonstrated that "...even a dog can get a video on rage.", by attaching a video camera to a dog, and editing the resulting footage together with simply produced looping music.
Who better to take you on an insider's look into the iconic ABC TV Show joined by award-winning music video director Sarah-Jane Woulahan, and rage producer/programmer team Sophie Zoellner and Madeline Palmer.
See behind-the-scenes footage, hilarious guest programmer highlights, never-before-seen outtakes and all the rare and retro music videos you've come to expect from rage.
