Exploring the green screen universe during the Pixar exhibition
We're popping the champagne in celebration of our biggest year yet.
Each year we produce an Annual Report - a snapshot of the financial year gone by and a peek at what lies ahead. For ACMI, we're in celebration mode after what has been our biggest year yet (in a short six year life), which has seen us inspire, entertain and engage more people than ever before in a fantastic year of programming.
Some of the highlights of our year include setting two international world record for attendance for our major exhibitions Pixar: 20 Years of Animation (presented as part of Melbourne Winter Masterpieces 2007) and Game On.
We presented another year of exceptional world cinema, screened alongside a dedicated exploration of the Australian story, including 36 premieres, and we remain home to 13 partner film festivals.
In our Public and Education programming we reached record numbers of people, engaging more than 100,000 participants in quality programs within our building and in communities across regional Victoria. And we finished off a very big year having taken significant steps to delivering a landmark new cultural experience for Melbourne with our ground floor exhibition project (read more about that here)
