Behind our really big sign, something really exciting is happening...
It's not every day you get to create something truly unique, but at ACMI, we're used to delivering visitors with cultural experiences unlike any other. And with the help of a nip and a tuck, we're going to provide Melbourne with another world first - a 21st century gallery celebrating the most popular art form of our time.
We've started work on our new permanent, free entry experience Screen Worlds: The story of film, television and digital culture, which will literally consume and transform our ground floor spaces into a globally unique gallery.

With construction works now underway, hoardings have been introduced on the ground floor and Level 1, and while we're busy creating another world behind the façades, there's still plenty to see and do at ACMI.
