take a spin with christian marclay
New York-based artist and musician Christian Marclay joins us to open the new Screen Gallery exhibition Replay Christian Marclay and will host a one-off special preview tour through his innovative work.
Originally developed by the Cité de la Musique in Paris, Replay Christian Marclay is the first solo exhibition to be presented in the Screen Gallery at ACMI. It explores the relationship between image and sound through Marclay's extensive work with video, film, sculpture, photography, installation, collage, music and DJ performances.
As DJ and sound artist, Marclay's improvised turntable performances have pushed boundaries, while his montage compositions of film and video serve to recontextualise and create new meaning out of familiar sights and scenes.
