it's time to vote
At the announcement of the upcoming federal election, the call was issued to local filmmakers for short films designed to encourage young people to enrol to vote.
ACMI, the Victorian Electoral Commission and Leader Newspaper group issued the challenge to filmmakers aged 16 to 25 to write, direct and shoot a piece under 3 minutes in length.
All entries to the Roll Up competition had to feature voter enrolment as a key element.
The submissions have closed, the 10 finalists have been chosen, and now the call goes out to you!
The winner is to be decided by popular vote, and by rolling up to the Leader website you can watch all the finalists and cast your ballot.
All finalists will receive a bag from Crumpler and the winner will take home a new Sony HDRHC5 Handycam to the value of $1799.
