Of Time and the City
Of Time and the City
A rhapsodic exploration of time, place and memory, filtered through childhood reminiscences and reflections on the past.

Of Time and the City is both an ode and a eulogy to director Terence Davies' birthplace of Liverpool.

Photographs and newsreels of the era are interwoven with contemporary footage, the whole enriched by Davies' mellifluous baritone narration selectively quoting from a rich roll call of English poets and writers.

"Poetically composed, with marvelous lumps of wit and perspective, Of Time and the City is a masterwork" The Hollywood Reporter
