Dr. Martens and ACMI are asking you to document the lives of real people who are original. Anyone who you think lives their life with daring expression and commitment.

The competition is open to all Australians between the ages 18-24. Simply create a short film of 90 seconds addressing the 'Outside of Ordinary' theme and submit it to the address provided on the entry form by 5pm, Wednesday 19 October 2005.

Designed to encourage imagination and inventiveness in young Australian filmmakers, this competition follows the lead of Dr. Marten's global campaign - Veer. Directed by famous UK documentary maker Doug Pray, Veer is a series of six documentaries each one following the life of an extraordinary Londoner. With the tagline 'Outside of Ordinary', the documentaries provide a fascinating insight into the stories of people who aren't afraid to do things differently.

If you're the winner, your film will be screened at both the Sydney and Melbourne Resfest festivals this year. You'll receive 2 x VIP tickets to the Videos That Rock sessions to see the film screened in either Sydney or Melbourne, a Dr. Martens prize pack (containing a year's wardrobe of Dr. Martens shoes), a twelve-month subscription to 'Filmink' magazine and a LCD TV worth $2,900.

Two runner-up prizes of a Dr. Martens prize pack will also be awarded.

Resfest runs in Melbourne and in Sydney during November 2005. Details available soon on the ACMI website.
