The Life and Films of Alby Falzon
The Life and Films of Alby Falzon
From directing the groundbreaking Morning of the Earth to editing and shooting Crystal Voyager, Alby Falzon has been an integral part of Aussie surf culture since the 1970s. This biopic examines the life and work of the great man, his collaborators and his role in bringing our surf culture to international audiences.

Featuring a treasure trove of archival material spanning 40 years, including his early days as a photographer and publisher, the film is a revealing look into the culture of surf and Falzon himself, whose lifestyle matches the tone of many of the works he's produced over the decades.

This 'tone' embraces elements much deeper than the surf culture itself, with journeys to remote locations and distant cultures providing many layers to the work and the character of the man who pioneered the surf film form and whose impact is still felt.
