| Little Deaths |
Ten short films by ten directors (and ten producers) make up this new Australian portmanteau of films featuring some familiar faces, including Adam Zwar (
Wilfred) and the irresistible Madga Szubanski.
Writer Giula Sandler created ten vignettes capturing the many facets of love. Framing these stories is the less-than-thrilling world of an enigmatic freeway tollbooth attendant (Abe Forsyth) who barely exchanges a word with his customers, let alone a glance.
This is a triumph in local low-budget filmmaking with some of Melbourne's most promising talent.
Winner, Best Film, DigiSPAA 2008 (Screen Producers Association of Australia)
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with directors Genevieve Bailey, Ben Chessell, Sian Davies and Guila Sandler.
