Under the Sand
Ozon's 'tearless melodrama' stars Charlotte Rampling as a middle aged woman grappling with the mysterious disappearance of her husband.

Foretelling the narrative trickery present in both Swimming Pool and Time To Leave, Rampling's superb performance sees her dipping in and out of a dreamlike narrative in her quest to cope with her immense grief and start her life over at 50.

Under The Sand provided a departure point for Ozon to showcase his talent for mature and complex dramas of the heart.
