To mark the conclusion of Pixar: 20 Years of Animation at ACMI, join key players from the Australian industry to celebrate and explore the achievements of local digital production. This wide-ranging day of presentations is a must-see for industry and students.

> Session 1

This session explores the differing challenges of working in the entertainment industry.

Speakers will include Cameron Crichton from ACT3 Animation profiling their work creating cinematics for games including Obsidian's Neverwinter Nights 2 and THQ's Stuntman 2, and John Francis and John Tatoulis (SurrealWorlds) discussing their work on Dogs Tale, which became the feature length film Manhattan's Best Friend featuring the voice of Woody Allen.

> Session 2

Chaired by Professor Sean Cubitt, Chair of Media and Communications, University of Melbourne

This session investigates the challenges of the creation and integration of digital characters. Speakers include John Dietz (special effects) presenting his work for Charlotte's Web.

> Session 3

Chaired by Amelia King, Manager, Digital Media Fund, Film Victoria

This session considers convergence and animation's colonisation of screens big and small.

Speakers include Dan Fill (Head of Development for New Media and Digital Services, ABC), Ben Kinealy (Product Marketing Manager of TV & Entertainment, 3 Australia), David Giles (Director of Development, Tantalus Games) and Rachel Perry (Producer, Momentum Animation Studios).
