The final days of the record-breaking exhibition Pixar: 20 Years of Animation are upon us, and we're giving you the chance to dive deeper into the magical world of animation with some of Australia's best artists setting up their studios at ACMI.

Nick Hilligoss builds and designs beautifully crafted latex puppets and hand-painted sets, painstakingly animating them frame-by-frame. In his Open Studio at ACMI he'll set up hands-on stop motion activity to guide people through the painstaking process.

Nick will feature the award winning films Once Upon Australia, Good Riddance and the recent l" Animateur, and some of his own creations including a spectacular two metre street scene with miniature houses, puppets and cars.

Nectarine has a reputation as a producer of super savvy flash-based websites. Whiz kid flash animator Steve Piscopo has worked on internationally recognised animations such as Real World, Tork, and Cyberquoll

Steve's Open Studio will give regular flash demonstrations and talks about 'The Twelve Principles of Animation' along with screenings of his films and the chance to see him work on animations live.

Open Studio with Nick Hilligos takes place Saturday 29 to Sunday 30 September 2007, 11am - 4pm. Find out more here
