Nick Hilligoss has been awarded numerous international accolades for his detailed animated 3D model programs.
Nick has worked at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation for about 19 years. He has animated award-winning films such as
Banjo Frog,
Possum's Rest, and
Good Riddance.
Nick designs and builds his latex puppets and the three dimensional sets they move around in, and painstakingly animates them frame by frame in a makeshift studio. He prefers to keep the handcrafted look, but does resort to some computer-generated "stunt doubles" for flying shots that are more difficult for his aluminum and latex stars.
